Post Secondary Options
What can I do after I graduate?
At The James Baldwin School, we believe that everything following high school (also known as “secondary school”) is a form of education. College, skilled trade programs, career prep programs, service programs, employment, gap year experiences, and the military can all involve learning new things, developing new skills, and earning additional credentials (degrees, certifications, licenses, etc.). All students are expected to apply to college, as we believe deeply that all young people should have access to a college education. We also encourage our students to explore additional post-secondary options so that by the time they leave us, many doors are open and they are open wide. Having options maximizes one’s choices and, ultimately, their power, which is what we dream for all our students.
